After some debugging (see comments and original post below) i've found that paypal checkout strongly depends on the review checkout pane being active and placed on i've been trying to make paypal checkout work to no avail. Honestly, placing all the code in your listener is quite simple as well and reduces miscommunication between your success page and paypal. I am guessing that this paypal.php never worked. We can send money to paypal using two method one is using paypal form and another is using paypal api curl. I can use paypal without problems on any other shopping site regardless of which browser is used, and if addblocking/tracking is enabled or disabled. Running the paypal notify url through the paypal ipn simluator returns an error. So i do it over and over but never let's you checkout.
